Northern Alliance Inc. is Uniting the Region’s Realtors at their Evolve Conference Benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa on March 6
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OTTAWA, ON, March 5, 2025— A collective of real estate professionals in Ottawa is hosting a conference at Brookstreet Hotel on Thursday, March 6, focused on strengthening the local industry and raising funds for at-risk youth. Northern Alliance Inc.’s Evolve Conference will welcome realtors from the region to learn and connect, while supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa (BBBSO).
Northern Alliance was founded in 2024 with the goal of supporting the growing community of local realtors, and was spearheaded by Tarek El Attar, Steve Alexopoulos, Todd Gingras, Cris Karson, Scott Moore, J F Perras, Jason Spartalis, and Marc Papineau. Their charitable wing is Northern Alliance Foundation for Giving.
“Northern Alliance is all about supporting and mentoring each other,” said Sara Khoury, the lead on the conference. “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa focuses exclusively on mentorship programs for kids in need, so our partnership lined up very naturally. We couldn’t do this without the support of our event’s Presenting Sponsor, Mattamy Homes, and the many other gracious sponsors who have stepped up for the cause.”
Khoury is also the Director of Operations at MetroCity Property Group, who hosted a significant fundraiser for BBBSO in 2023, raising $25,000 in support of their work. BBBSO offers a variety of programs to local youth with a wide range of backgrounds and needs, including their flagship “Big Brother” and “Big Sister” mentoring programs, which pair caring adult volunteers with youth to create meaningful relationships that often last a lifetime.
“The fundraising landscape has changed dramatically since the pandemic,” said Susan Ingram” Executive Director of BBBSO. “Increasingly, we are partnering with caring business leaders like Sara and the team at Northern Alliance to ensure we can continue to offer our life-changing programs to youth facing challenges.”
“Young people need mentors to navigate the world they’re growing up in, and receiving the call from Northern Alliance telling us they wanted to be a part of the solution was moving.”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa is a local charity whose mission is to enable life-changing mentoring relationships to ignite the power and potential of young people in Ottawa and Renfrew County. Learn more about them at bbbso.ca.
