COVID-19 UPDATE
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa (BBBSO) is committed to the health and safety of its youth, families, volunteers and staff. With the current COVID-19 outbreak and confirmed cases in Ottawa, BBBSO is putting measures in place to ensure we are protecting staff, supporting our families and matches and doing our part to minimize the spread of the virus in the community.
Please note that because the BBBSO offices are located in a school and provincial health officials have made a decision to close all publicly funded Ontario schools, our offices are closed until June 1st. Staff members continue to work remotely from their homes.
MEASURES BBBSO IS TAKING DUE TO COVID-19
BBBSO continues to accept and process online volunteer applications. We are continuously looking at ways to adapt to the current situation and are exploring online training and virtual interviews.

FUNDRAISING UPDATE
All Star Weekend Kids’ Camp and Charity Golf Tournament Hosted by Henry Burris
This event has been cancelled, but we hope to reschedule the event at a later date this year. For those who have registered the event, you will be provided with a refund or if you would prefer to leave as a donation we are happy to provide a charitable tax receipt.
Clothes For Kids’ Sake
At the moment this program is on hold and currently not accepting donations, however we do hope you will put aside and save your donations for when we are able to once again collect. This is because for Every 1lb. of clothing generates funds towards mentoring programs for youth in Ottawa.
