Ottawa, ON — April 10, 2025 — Thrive Select Thrift announces its Free Shop Day on April 27th in honour of National Pay It Forward Day. This initiative will provide individuals in need with an opportunity to shop for clothing at no cost, in the spirit of generosity and community support.
Thrive Select Thrift is the social enterprise of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa (BBBSO), an organization dedicated to uplifting youth who are facing adversity through intentional mentoring relationships. Thrive combines sustainable retail with social impact, generating funds that directly support Ottawa’s youth.
Through partnerships with select community organizations, Thrive Select Thrift will distribute 35 shopping vouchers to each participating partner, empowering them to extend this opportunity to their clients. “We believe in the power of small actions creating a ripple effect of kindness,” said Hope Wood, Business Development Manager at Thrive Select Thrift. “By opening our doors to those in need, we hope to not only provide essential items but also to inspire a cycle of generosity and support throughout our community.”
